About Us
Betty Nason moved to Bozeman in 1970, after a teaching career in Hamilton and Anaconda, and opened up the “Butcher Boy Drive In” on Main Street. I have to confess, I do not remember the Butcher Boy, but some in this room do. The Butcher Boy lead to “The Drover” in downtown Bozeman. Finally, she moved her business to Four Corners, opening up the “Kountry Korner Cafe.”
The Korner Cafe is the center of activity for the residents of the Four Corners area, with great breakfast, lunch, and dinner served every day. It frequently features live music, and special events pepper the calendar throughout the year. The restaurant is known for a number of specialties, like great pies and roasted chicken, but mostly it is known for Betty who flutters around the room, making everyone feel like part of her family.
In addition to operating a successful restaurant, Betty also owns and operates a highly successful catering company, Gallatin Valley Catering. For more years than our Bozeman staff can remember, Betty has been a corporate sponsor of MontanaPBS, providing fantastic catering for events of all kinds. She has fed volunteers, donors, staff and dignitaries. And MontanaPBS is just one of the many local causes Betty supports. It is rare, in my experience, to find a worthy area cause that Betty has not supported.
Betty is a pillar of the Bozeman area, one of the most respected and beloved business women in our community, and MontanaPBS is tremendously grateful for her enthusiastic support of educational television for the entire state of Montana.
